VFW Nebraska Patriot's Pen 2009-2010 winners were announced at the Mid Winter Conference in Grand Island Nebraska. The Patriot's pen essays, open to 6th, 7th and 8th grades, had many entries. Their essays were amazing and a challenge to the judges. Congratulation to each district winner.
 | FIRST PLACE WINNER
Audra A Keehn is Nebraska's first place winner, she was sponsored by VFW Post 10725 Gretna and VFW District 8. She received the VFW Post 2704 first place award of $1,000.00 at the VFW Midwinter conference at Grand Island Nebraska. Audra's Parents are Rocky and Vaiva Keehn. Audra attends Gretna Middle School. Congratulations Audra. |

Second Place Winner
Quinton J Johnsen was named second place winner and received
the Department of Nebraska Ladies Auxiliary award of $500.00
Quinton was sponsored VFW Post and Aux 1077 Beatrice and
District 6. Quinton attends Beatrice Middle School and his
parents are Lawrence and Melody Johnsen.

Third Place Winner
Jaime M Stephenson was the third place winner and received
the VFW Post and Aux 10727 award of $200.00. Jaime's
parents are Ronald and Christine Stephenson. Jaime attends Norris
Middle School in Lincoln Nebraska. Jaime was sponsored by
VFW Post and Aux 3606 and District 9. |
